Their gazes met across the expansive lawn of the party. Callie felt a zing down her spine. That had never happened before. She broke eye contact, trying to pay attention to the conversation around her. It was no use.
When she looked up, he was still watching her. This time, he gave her a smile. Another zing and her heart rate kicked up. She’d never experienced anything like that before either. Again, she turned away.
